Confession

"Those who approach the sacrament of Penance obtain pardon from God's mercy for the offense committed against him, and are, at the same time, reconciled with the Church which they have wounded by their sins and which by charity, by example, and by prayer labors for their conversion." Lumen Gentium 11: 2

Confession is sometimes also called the Sacrament of Penance or Reconciliation.

Confessions are normally available at Our Lady, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral on Saturdays at 4:00 pm.

Additional Confession times are available before special feast days and by request.

In order to receive the Sacrament of Penance in the Catholic Church one must be Baptized and be a member of the Catholic Church.

Children are prepared for their First Penance during the course of preparation for First Communion.  Adults who are not Catholic receive training to go to Confession during the RCIA process.
